1. Review of the Boundaries between the County of Carmarthenshire and the County Borough of Neath Port Talbot in the area of Cwmllynfell – Letter received from resident of Lower Brynmorgan Farm, Cwm-Twrch

1.1 The Secretary reported that the Commission had received a letter from a resident of Upper Cwmtwrch requesting that consideration be given to reviewing the boundary near her house. She stated that she was currently the only resident of Upper Cwmtwrch whose property was within Neath Port Talbot. She considered that this resulted in her being isolated from her neighbours and receiving poor services from Neath Port Talbot County Borough Council.

1.2 The Commission considered that there was good reason to incorporate the resident’s request as part of either their Cwmtwrch or Cwmllynfell review. As the area involved in the request was situated between the two main review areas, it could be included as part of either. However, Mr Halsall said that as the Cwmtwrch review had now been completed and was currently in the process of being translated and printed, it would be more logical to include the new area in the Cwmllynfell review which was still on-going. It was agreed that the area involved in the residents request would be included as part of the Cwmllynfell review.
